Obituary of Michael Francis Gormley

Surrounded by his family, the passing of Michael Francis Gormley, occurred on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at Kings Way Care Centre.

Born on March 23, 1959, in Moncton, he was a son of Frank and  Clare Marie (McGrath). He was predeceased by his mother Clare Marie Gormley.

Michael is survived by his father Frank (Esther) of Victoria, BC, his siblings; Beth McGinnis (John) of Fredericton, Anne Moore (Paul) of Rothesay, Carol Thompson of Quispamsis, Rosemary Leger (Murray Wilson) of Rothesay, Susan May of Saint John, Peter Gormley (Joanne) of Rothesay, and Martha Lister (Todd) of Rothesay, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Michael was a "special gift" to all who knew him. He enjoyed every day to its fullest and was always the "Life of the Party". He will be missed by all.

Resting at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (849-2119) with visiting on Sunday from 2:00 - 6:00 PM.  A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Rothesay on Monday, April 29 at 11 AM. Interment to take place at St. Joseph's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Kings Way Care Centre, Special Olympics NB or a charity of your choice.
