Obituary of Donald Edward Todd

Surrounded by his family, Donald Edward Todd, husband of Janet (Sherwood), passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at the Saint John Regional Hospital.

Born on January 9, 1937 in Saint John, NB, he was the son of the late Melvin and Lucy (Brambel) Todd. Don loved his family and spending time with Janet at their property in Venice, FL. He owned his own business, Action Plumbing and Heating, which brought him great pride during his life. Don loved his work so much that even after retiring at 60 years of age, he continued to do small jobs for people. Don was very devoted to his church, True Life Church, where he made many friends throughout the years.

Besides his wife Janet, he is survived by his sons, Pastor Mark (Jackie) Todd of Clifton Royal, and Pastor Barry (Brenda) Todd of Quispamsis; daughters, Susan Douthwright (Dale) of Moncton, Wendy (Paul) Murray of Riverview; and Lori Todd of Moncton; sister, Faith (Douglas) McKenney and brother, Allan Todd; twelve grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces, nephews, and friends.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (849-2119) with visiting at True Life Church, 30 Vincent Road, Quispamsis, on Friday from 3-8 p.m. Funeral service will be held at True Life Church on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place at Ocean View Memorial Gardens. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to VCA Playground Fund.
