Norma Collier

Obituary of Norma Edith Collier

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Norma Edith Collier (Flynn) announces her passing which occurred on Sunday, November 14, 2021, at Bobby’s Hospice. Norma was born on August 8, 1942, in Saint John and was the daughter of the late, Joseph and Edith (Veinot).

During her working years, Norma worked for the Town of Quispamsis and School District 6, working at Rothesay Junior High. In her spare time, she loved music and played in a band called the Coffee House Girls, where she would sing and play guitar. Music came naturally to Norma and was a big part of her life. After singing in her band, she continued to share her gifts of melody in various church choirs. Even though music was a big part of Norma’s life, her main love was her family. She adored spending time with her loved ones, making memories and eating delicious seafood.

Norma is survived by her former husband Ron Collier; her sons, Tony (Rika), Doug and John (Sue); daughter Debbie (Paul) Cole; sisters Barbara Bogle and Sandra LeBlanc; grandchildren: Patience (Jason), Steve (Alé)Jonathan, Jillian and Oliver; great-grandchildren: Ayden, Austin, Livia, several nieces, nephews and a special friend Herb McKinley. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her brothers, Greg, Lloyd, Kenny and Donald; and her sisters, Jean Morrell, Annie Nadeau and Kathleen Flynn.
