Obituary of Nancy Anne Jenkins

Nancy’s family announces her passing which occurred November 15, 2021 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Nancy was born July 30, 1947 in Woodstock, NB. After graduating from Woodstock High School in 1965, Nancy received her Bachelor of Nursing in 1969 and her Master of Education in 1979, both from the University of New Brunswick. The majority of Nancy’s career was as an instructor at the Saint John School of Nursing.

 

Nancy is survived by her children, Daniel Jenkins (Laura) and Sara Jenkins (Simon); grandchildren Sophia, Hazel, Colin and Maggie; siblings Marie Wiggins (Lawrence), Gertrude Kitchen, John Denning (Margaret), Dorothy Yackulic, Mary Jean Stewart and George Denning; fourteen nieces and nephews and an ever growing number of great nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, Louis Charles Denning and Emily Elizabeth Denning (née Lindsay) and brothers-in-law Alan Yackulic and Clifford Kitchen.

 

Visitation will take place November 23, 2021 from 6pm to 8pm at the Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home at 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis, NB (849-2119). A funeral mass will be held November 24, 2021 at 11am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church at 31 Gondola Point Road, Rothesay, NB. With Covid-19 health measures placed on indoor gatherings by the Government of New Brunswick, all those 12 and older attending the service will be required to show proof of vaccination and a piece of a government-issued ID or proof of medical exemption. Due to COVID-19, there will be no reception.

 

Private interment to follow at the Calvary Cemetery in Woodstock, NB.

 

In lieu of flowers, those who wish to make a donation in memory of Nancy may consider the Canadian Cancer Society or the Saint John Regional Hospital Foundation.
