Obituary of Grace Greta Bostwick

It is with heavy hearts, the family of Grace Greta (Hall) Bostwick, loving wife of the late George A. Bostwick, announce her passing at Kings Way Care Centre, on Friday, December 28, 2018. Born on August 2, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Charles Hall and Mary Agnes Mabel (Cameron) Hall. Prior to her marriage, Grace worked for the Lantic Sugar Refinery, K.C. Irving and the New Brunswick Telephone Company. Once she and George married in 1948, she was happy and content to be at home, working beside her husband on the family farm and raising her family. Grace was a member of the Anglican Parish of Kingston, attending Trinity Church in Kingston and St. James Church in Long Reach. In later years, she and George enjoyed bus trips in Canada and the USA. Grace belonged to the Kingston Friendship Club and enjoyed getting out to see the people and to attend the various outings. She loved to go to the Kingston markets on Saturday mornings to see friends and neighbours. The family is appreciative to the full and fulfilling life that Grace lead. Her only wish was to be surrounded by her children, their families and love. Grace is survived by three daughters, Mildred (George) Urquhart of Quispamsis, NB; Barbara (Art) Sweezey of Moncton, NB; Mary (Mark James) Bostwick of Toronto, ON; two sons Donald (Linda) Bostwick of Kingston, NB, and Gordon Bostwick of Long Reach, NB; three sisters-in-law, Edna Hall of Quispamsis, NB; Marion Baird of Mississauga, ON; Kathleen Moore of Ottawa, ON; thirteen grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family being predeceased by her parents, eight sisters: Vira Buckley, Hazel Lindsay, Doris Waddell, Ethel Hatfield, Alice Beaver, Evelyn Burhoe, Josephine Cairney, infant sister Mildred and two brothers William and Norman Hall. Arrangements are under the care of Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (849-2119) with visitation on Friday, January 4, from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM. The funeral service will be held at Trinity Anglican Church (Kingston, NB) on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 2:00 PM. Interment will take place at Trinity Anglican Church Cemetery, Kingston in the Spring. For those who wish remembrances in memory of Grace may be made to: Alzheimer’s Society of NB, Kings Way Care Centre, Trinity Anglican Church (Kingston) or the charity of the donor’s choice. The family want to thank Meadow Valley Manor and Kings Way Care Centre for their wonderful care, attentiveness and support of our mother during her final years.
