Obituary of Josephine Veronica Beyea

It is with great sadness that the family of Josie Beyea of Quispamsis, beloved wife of Bert Beyea, announce her death which occurred on Friday, January 25, 2013, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Upham on June 26, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Joe and Sarah (Meehan) McMackin. Prior to her retirement, Josie was a loyal employee of Irving Oil for 25 years. She was a faithful member of the Parish of St. Alphonsus and a member of the French Village Ladies Guild. Josie was an excellent cook, who loved hosting family dinners and special occasions. She dearly treasured family time and especially adored the moments with her grandchildren who were her world. Josie will always be remembered as a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Besides her husband, Bert, Josie is also survived by her son, Jamie (Tammy) of Hampton; precious grandchildren, Benjamin, Brittany and Brooke; sisters, Mary McMackin, Roberta Bourque (Ronnie), Barb Seely (Norman) and Donna McPhee (Mike); brothers, Jim (Ruth), Elward (Phyllis), David, Joe (Barb), Andy (Maureen), Pat (Ruby) and Henry (Rhonda); several nieces, nephews, cousins, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, aunts and uncles. She was predeceased by her sister, Anna; brothers, Peter and Bernard; as well as sister-in-law, Bertha McMackin. Resting at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis, (506) 849-2119, with visitation on Sunday, January 27, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Vigil Prayers will be held Sunday at 7:00 p.m., at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, 22 Church Street, Hampton, on Monday, January 28, 2013, at 10:00 AM.
