Obituary of James Wendell Baxter

The death of James "Jim" Wendell Baxter, loving husband of Verna (White) Baxter, of Quispamsis, NB, occurred peacefully on Friday, January 31, 2014 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, NB on July 15, 1939, he was a son of the late James and Jean (Robertson) Baxter. Jim owned Baxter Electrical Ltd. for many years until his retirement. He loved to hunt, fish, square dance, travel and music. Besides his loving wife of 53 years, Jim is survived by his daughters, Wanda Thomas (Brian) of Bedford, NS and Paula Baxter of Quispamsis, NB; sister, Shirley Baxter of Saint John; grandchildren, Nathan Thomas (Becky), Nicole Traynor (Jeff), Brandy and Ben Morrow; great grandchildren, Ashlynn, Brielle, and Maddy, as well as several nieces and nephews. Jim was predeceased by his brother, Wesley and sister, Joyce. Resting at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (849-2119) with visiting on Tuesday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 from St. Augustine's Church, 239 Quispamsis Road, Quispamsis, at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place at Harding's Point Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick.
