Obituary of Joan Steeves

Joan Steeves, wife of the late Raymond Steeves, passed away in the loving arms of her daughter at the Saint John Regional Hospital on July 7, 2014. Born in Holtville, NB on June 8, 1942, she was a daughter of the late Bill and Nellie Black. Joan is survived by daughters, Pauline Cotê (Tom), Bonnie Cotê (Dan), sons, Rob Beers (Joanne), and Randy Beers, brother Bill (Sandi), sisters, Linda Smith (Evan), Mary Flavin (Ken), Sandy McQuinn (Wayne), and Carol Somerville (Greg), grandchildren, Rick (Crystal), Jordan, Ashley, Nick, Allie, Jacob, and Kate, great-grandchildren, Hunter and Mikayla, several nieces and nephews and her life long friend, Marn Ketchum. Besides her parents and loving husband, she was predeceased by her son, Ricky, sisters, Faye and Judy and her furry companions, Morgan and Scampie. Resting at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (849-2119) with visiting on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held from Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, July 12, 2014 at 1:00 PM. Interment to take place at St. Luke's Anglican Cemetery. The family would appreciate donations to be made to the SPCA - Animal Rescue League or to a charity of the donor's choice.
