Obituary of Caroline Elizabeth Lorette

It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our dear daughter Caroline Elizabeth Lorette on July 9th, 2014, while surrounded by her loving family. Born on June 30th, 2000, Caroline had just celebrated her 14th birthday, excited to be entering Rothesay High School in the fall. Caroline attended Rothesay Elementary School and Rothesay Park Middle School. Caroline’s beautiful smile and cheerful giggles were contagious as she brightened the world each day with her positive attitude and energy. Caroline truly lived life to the fullest and worked hard to excel, especially in academics and sport, and was confirmed into the United Church of Canada in May of 2013. Caroline earned a place on the 2014 New Brunswick Highland Dance Team, she played for the AA Fundy Soccer Team, and she was a competitive kayaker at the Kennebecasis Kayaking Club. Caroline was also talented in track and field and had a real passion for the piano and guitar. Nonetheless, Sweet Caroline's greatest accomplishments were her roles as a treasured daughter, sister, granddaughter, cousin, niece, and friend. Caroline’s beauty and inner spirit lit up every room she entered. Driven, energetic, silly, loving, bright, and caring, she was a gift every moment she was here. Caroline's active life was a testament to her own strength and triumph over her severe food allergies. Caroline truly enjoyed spending time with her family. She especially enjoyed the many family vacations they took which included cruises to the Caribbean, several Disney vacations and a trip to Scotland. Caroline is survived by her parents, Janet and David Lorette of Rothesay, big sister Katherine, at home, Nana Patricia Wilson of Lorneville, Grampie Eloi Lirette of Sackville, NB, Aunt Lori and John Gaudet of Dundas, On, Uncle John Wilson and Sharon Messer of Rothesay, Aunt Lindsay Savoie of Rothesay, and Uncle Jeff and Jennifer Lorette of Moncton. Caroline’s cousins were a big part of her life and they will miss her terribly. Mathieu, Drew and Emily Gaudet, Charlotte and Luc Savoie, Amy Lorette and Eamonn Wilson were all so fortunate to have such a beautiful friend as their cousin. Caroline will be taken care of in heaven by her Papa Lawrence Wilson and Grammie Helen Lirette, although she will no doubt be taking care of them. Resting at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis, (849-2119) with visiting on Monday, July 14 from 7-9pm and Tuesday July 15 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. We will celebrate the life of our sweet girl on Wednesday, July 16 at St. David’s United Church in Rothesay, NB at 11am. For those who wish, remembrances can be made to The Rothesay High School Sweet Caroline Memorial Scholarship to raise awareness of anaphylaxis or the IWK PICU. Online condolences and remembrances may be placed at www.KennebecasisFH.com
