Obituary of David MacKnight Hoyt

The death of David MacKnight Hoyt, husband of the late Mildred (Bingham) Hoyt, occurred on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at Ridgewood Veteran's Hospital. Born in Saint John, on April 2, 1914, he was a son of the late Edward and Helen (MacKnight) Hoyt. David was the last surviving immediate member of the Hoyt Family. He was a veteran of World War II, where he served with the ARCH as a technician. He worked as an electrician for many years, retiring at the age of 95. Survived by his nephews; David Hoyt, Stephen Hoyt, and Ted Hoyt, nieces; Shirley Fowler and Joanne Nice, and his cousin, Libby Lowe. Besides his wife, David is predeceased by his step daughter, Hope Simmons, brothers; Harold, and James Hoyt, and his sister Elizabeth Hoyt. Resting at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (849-2119). Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home Chapel at 10:00 AM, with visiting 1 hour prior to the service. Interment to take place at St. Luke's Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Joshua Group.
