Obituary of Marjorie Louise Gilchrist

Gilchrist, Marjorie L. - The death of Marjorie Louise Gilchrist of Quispamsis, wife of the late Ronald Gilchrist, occurred on Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at Jubilee Hall, Quispamsis, NB. Born in Saint John on November 4, 1938, she was a daughter of the late Cedric and Myrtle (Morrisey) Kyffin. Marjorie was employed with the Canadian Pacific Railroad for many years until her retirement in 1994. She enjoyed square dancing, camping, traveling but mostly loved spending time with her family. Marjorie loved to read, knit and cook in her spare time. Survived by her sons; Mark (Sandra) of Moncton, NB, David of Toronto, ON, and Christopher (Elaine) of Quispamsis, daughters; Tanya Askeland (Bruse) of Darlings Island, NB, Lori-Ann McDade (Frank) of Rothesay, Jodi-Ann Ketchum of Fredericton, NB, and Kimberly Robichaud (Michael) of French Village, NB, brother, George Kyffin, sisters; Eileen Magee, Suzanne Theriault, Rachel Hopper, Phyllis Gilchrist, and Pat Tilley, grandchildren; Jason, Mark, Scott, Brad, Jeffrey, Chantal, Riley, Jared, Emmett, Kayla, and Andrew, great grandchildren; Sydney, Jaylyn, Max, Brody, and Colby, as well as several nieces and nephews. Marjorie was predeceased by her brother, Blair Kyffin and sister, Karen Blanchard. Resting at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (849-2119) with visiting on Sunday, December 21, from 2 - 4PM and 6 - 8PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mark's Church on Monday, December 22, 2014 at 10:00 AM. Interment to take place at Ocean View Memorial Gardens. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick, would be appreciated.
