Obituary of Doreen Constance Campbell

It is with great appreciation of a life well lived the family of Doreen Constance (Arthurs) Campbell, loving wife of James “Buddy” Campbell, announce her passing on Sunday, February 9, 2020 at Loch Lomond Villa. Born in Saint John on October 4, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Viola (Godfrey) Arthurs.

 

Doreen graduated from Saint John High and went on to work at Revenue Canada for 43 years. She was a member of Glen View United Church and sang in their choir. She was also a member of the UCW for 50 years, Eastern Star and Rebekkah Lodge. She enjoyed baking and above all she adored and cherished her family. 

 

In addition to her husband of 71 years Buddy, Doreen is survived by her daughter Rev. Linda (Joe) Fuller of Pembroke, ON and  son Kim (Lori) Campbell of Saint John; grandchildren: Shannon Fuller, Brad (Tracey) Fuller, Jay (Tina) Fuller and Erica (Kevin) Scott; and great-grandchildren: Alana, Lucas, Noemie, Matthew, Maggy, Kayla, Kenzie, Kiona and Kennedy; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

 

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Burton Arthur and sisters: Frances Shaw and Elva Jorgenson.

 

Arrangements are under the care of Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (849-2119). Visitation will be held onWednesday, February 12, 2020, from 11:30 AM – 12:45 PM, at Harmony United Church, 8 Upland Road (off of John T. McMillan Ave.), Saint John. Celebration of Doreen’s life will  follow visitation at Harmony United Church at 1:00 PM, reception to follow. For those who wish, remembrances in memory of Doreen may be made to Harmony United Church.
