Obituary of James Robinson Sweet

The death of Jamie Sweet of Quispamsis, husband of Joelle (Hansen) Sweet, occurred Sunday, June 5th, 2011, at his home. Born in Saint John, on November 21st, 1971, he was the son of Ian and Margaret (Robinson) Sweet of Rothesay. Jamie was a graduate of NBCC and was a member of the Millwright Local Union 2262. He was an extremely artistic and creative individual who had successfully graduated from NSCAD. He loved nature and especially enjoyed fly fishing. Most of all, Jamie adored his family, especially his precious step-son, Cameron “Chico” who will always remember Jamie as playful, awesome and loving. Besides his loving wife, Joelle, and his parents, Jamie is also survived by his step-son Cameron “Chico” Duggan, at home; sister, Kristen Sweet of Millidgeville; in-laws, George and Barb Stillman of Quispamsis and Karl Hansen (Pauline) of Millidgeville. He was predeceased by his maternal and paternal grandparents. Arrangements are entrusted to Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis, (506) 849-2119, with visitation on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A memorial service will be held from the chapel of Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home on Thursday, June 9th, 2011, at 2:00 PM. A reception will follow the service, at the funeral home. Interment will take place in Fernhill Cemetery, Saint John. For those who wish, donations may be made to Ridgewood Addiction Services, Animal Rescue League or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
