Obituary of Doris Eileen Macumber

It is with great sadness that the family of Doris Macumber of Quispamsis, announce her passing on Saturday, May, 5th, 2012, which occurred peacefully at the Saint John Regional Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Newcastle, NB on July 1st, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Burton and Annie (Buchanan) Watters. Prior to her retirement, Doris was a loyal employee of NBTel and was currently a member of the NBTel Pioneers. She loved playing bingo and watching all sports. Doris particularly enjoyed hockey and was a dedicated Montreal Canadians fan. Most of all, Doris treasured spending time with her family and she will always be fondly remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Doris is survived by her children, Kim Greer (Tony) of Quispamsis and Les Macumber (Diane) of Rothesay; sister, Lois Thompson (Roy) of Moncton; grandchildren, Candace Macumber (Sean London), Philip Greer, Kelsey-Lynn Greer and Liam Macumber; great-granddaughters, Skylar, Kaia and Sydnee; great-grandson, Kaleb; sisters-in-law, Bertha Watters of Belleisle Creek and Gladys Watters of Hamilton, Ontario; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one sister, Marjorie McLaughlin and three brothers, Allison, Burton and Douglas. Resting at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis, (506) 849-2119, with visitation on Monday, May 7th, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A funeral service will be held at the chapel of Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 8th, 2012, at 11:00 AM. A reception will immediately follow the service, at the funeral home.
