Obituary of Coleen Ann Munn

It is with broken hearts, the family of Coleen Munn, wife of Gary Munn, announce her passing on Sunday, October 29, 2023, at Thomas Hall in Fredericton, NB.

Born on May 14, 1953, in Woodstock, NB, she was a daughter of the late Sedences and Alice (Dewitt) Wood. In her younger years, Coleen and Gary enjoyed square dancing, she was an avid seamstress, and loved animals. Coleen was a school Bus driver for over 30 years in Fredericton until her retirement. Where she was loved by many students and pets, as she always carried treats in her pocket for the family pets. She was a member of St. Dunstan’s Church in Fredericton and Elks Canada.

 

Besides her husband of 51 years, Coleen is survived by her children; Jaime Bannister (Mike) of Quispamsis, and Keith Munn (Adina) of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, siblings; Eldon Wood, Eugene Wood (Donna), Deanna Anderson, Claudia Brown (Jimmy), and Keith Wood (Phyllis), sisters-in-law; Donna Ludford (Rick), and Debbie McCullough (Mike), beloved grandchildren; Taylor Munn (Charly), Addison Bannister, Isaac Munn, Greyson Bannister, and Isabella Munn, great grandchild Miya Munn, her dogs; Hope and Lincoln, as well as several nieces, nephews, and extended family. She will be missed by all who knew her.

 

Coleen was predeceased by her siblings; Ivan Wood (Joan), Chalmers Wood, Ione Glenn (Eddie), Joyce Wood, Inez Foster (Earl), Walter Wood (Barb), Gloria Smith (Rainnie), Shelia Wood, Gary Wood, father-in-law and mother-in-law; Paul and Helen (Hodgson) Grant, brother-in-law Gary Anderson, sister-in-law Ann Wood, and her best friend Patricia Johnson.

 

In keeping with Coleen’s wishes there will be no visitation or funeral service. Arrangements are under the care of Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (506-849-2119). For those who wish, donations in memory of Coleen, can be made to the Fredericton SPCA or to the Saint John Animal Rescue League.
