Obituary of Reginald Lawrence Hilchie

It is with great sadness the family of Reginald "Reg" Lawrence Hilchie, husband of Eleanor (Cameron) Hilchie, announce his passing on Sunday, February 11, 2018 at St. Joseph's Hospital. Born in Dartmouth, NS, on July 6, 1941, he was a son of the late Reginald and Rita (Wirrell) Hilchie. Reg was a financial advisor with HollisWealth for several years. Reg enjoyed golfing, baseball, and hockey "Go Habs Go!". Besides his loving wife, Reg is survived by his children: Kimberley Cosman (Rob) of Grand Bay - Westfield, Darren (Teri) of Georgia, USA, Duane (Marcia) of Rothesay, Jocelyn Stilwell (Paul) of North Carolina, USA, Michelle Allaby (the late Dennis Allaby) of Dartmouth, NS, and Dwight (Melissa) of Quispamsis, brother Gary (Marilyn) of Dartmouth, twenty-five grandchildren: Erika Wetmore (Christopher), Karissa, Rex, Jake, Lauren, Kenzie, Annika, Beau, Mitch, Kloey Cosman, Courtney, Tyler, Adrienne, Abigail, Braeden, Kiana, Kelson, Parker, Callie, Jaxon, and Olivia Hilchie, Olivia Stillwell, Brady, Maddox, and Connor Allaby, four great grandchildren: Bentley, Lincoln, Beckham and Cooper, several nieces and nephews, and extended family. Reg was predeceased by his half sister Gloria Trider (Mark). Due to renovations, VISITING will take place at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 177 Manchester Avenue, Saint John, on Friday from 2- 8 PM. Funeral Service will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at 11:00 AM. Interment to be held at Long Reach United Church Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, (849-2119). For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Joshua Group.
